Calling Contest!

Whew! We're here in NJ and mostly unpacked (why do we have so much junk?). AND our records have officially been moved to the Toms River ward. So we are expecting callings quite soon.

What do you think my new calling will be?

Post your vote in the comments!
The winner gets a crocheted washcloth (but only if I know who you are).
I'll give you a helpful hint: They already have a RS pianist, ward organist, and primary pianist that all seem pretty settled.

My dh will be having a similar contest on his blog (which has moved) so check it out if you want.

I'm thinking you will both be called to the nursery; thus ensuring that you will get to know no one in the ward. A year from now, at the summer social, people will ask you when you moved in, and when you reply "last year" they will assume you are inactive and only there for the free food.

While my wife's comment is pretty good. I'm going to have to go for a calling in Young Women's. It accomplishes a similar affect to being called to the nursery, but doesn't seem as cruel.

I'm going to have to go with young women's pianist. Or visiting teaching coordinator.

I think you'll get a calling in the ward choir.

I'm surprised your records got there so fast. When Rob and I moved (and that was just across town) it took 6 months for our new ward to get our records - so we still don't have callings. Of course, they may just think we are heathens or something.

I am going to guess Den Leader. We just got our records transferred and the bishopric is already going to come meet with us. I am nervous about getting called to teach CTR 5 primary class. They have been looking for a teacher for a long time.

Like I said on your husband's blog, I think that the two of you will be put into positions like ward librarian or ward historian for the time being.

I'm going to think happy thoughts and move you out of primary and into activity committee. If you say you're opposed to militaristic organizations would that get you out of den leader? On another note, can I just say I've walked maybe 3 times this summer, gained 5 pounds and desperately miss you!
