Cornell's Bush Delicata squash

So I got a bush winter squash from some free plants that were donated to our community gardens. It's growing great and has some interesting white fruits growing on it. I'll post a pic soon. I couldn't remember what the variety was so I of course did an online search. Here's what I came up with! Very interesting! My husband's brother is going to school at Cornell, so I think he'll appreciate the link. I'm excited to see how the squash turn out. That is assuming the gophers don't discover them first!

Just send the gophers to Utah. Rob and I had the unfortunate luck of seeing one turned into roadkill last night - very sad. Apparently other drivers think I just like to come to a complete stop in the middle of the road for no reason....

But anyway, good luck with your squash!

Lest Becky's comment seem ambiguous, we watched the gopher become roadkill. We saw it alive on the road and then Becky saw it being kicked out from under someone's front tire. Yuck!

I'm going to look for this variety around town when it's being harvested. We can compare tasting notes.
